"Cut up or shut up" by Jeff Kowalkowski, composed for Interzone perceptible, feature length instrumental theatre, in to acts, für accordion, bass, 4 female background voice choir, electronic and light....from the two performances at the Kunstwerkstatt am Hellweg [Bochum / Germany] we extracted all scenes entitled "10 chords and durations" - we called them "sirens" because of the interpretations of our [wannabe] singers. "Jeffrey and the sirens" is creating a distance to Kowalkowski's piece....transformed material from "sirens", intended to fade away softly into the room like a wallpaper, giving the [not-]listener the opportunity to switch in and out of the music, without loss of information, without missing anything....we captured an acoustic moment.
